What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a family of hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal fillers used to help diminish the appearance of wrinkles, restore fullness, and enhance facial features with natural-looking results.

How does Restylane® work?

Hyaluronic Acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin that supports hydration, fullness, and elasticity. Restylane® uses clear Hyaluronic Acid gel formulations to add volume and support in targeted areas.

What areas can Restylane® treat?

Depending on the specific Restylane® product, treatment areas can include smile lines (nasolabial folds), lips, cheeks/midface contour, chin, undereye hollows, and even the backs of the hands. Your provider will recommend what’s appropriate for your goals.

When will I see results?
Results are visible immediately after treatment. Some swelling can happen at first, so your look will continue to settle over the following days.
How long does Restylane® last?

With optimal treatment, results can last 1–2 years, depending on the specific product used and the area treated. (For lip filler, some JUVÉDERM® products can last up to 1 year.)

What side effects or risks should I know about?

Common side effects include temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, and bruising at the injection site. Rare risks can happen with any filler, which is why it’s important to be treated by experienced medical providers. Your provider will review your health history and talk through safety and expectations before treatment.

Can I workout after?
Plan on getting your workout in before this treatment, and avoid exercise, along with other physical activities that make you sweat, for 24 hours after treatment.
