What is Dysport® and how does it work?

Dysport® is an injectable neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes specific facial muscles to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, offering a smoother, refreshed look similar to other botulinum toxins.

How is Dysport® different from Botox®?

While both are Botulinum toxin type A products, Dysport® tends to have a slightly different formulation and may spread a bit more broadly, which some patients find ideal for larger treatment areas or a softer, natural look.

How long does Dysport® last?

Results last for different lengths of time depending on your treatment area and desired results, but you can typically expect them to last about 3-4 months.

What is the downtime?

There’s virtually no downtime for Dysport® & Wrinkle Relaxers. You might have small red bumps at the injection sites, but they usually subside within the hour.

How many units are included per area? Is there a limit?

It’s been clinically demonstrated that up to 64 units/3 areas is the optimal amount for best results & duration. For this reason, 1 area includes up to 24 units, 2 areas includes up to 44 units, and three areas includes up to 64 units. That being said, we want to ensure that you get the results you desire.

What is in Botox®, Dysport®, & other wrinkle relaxers?

Wrinkle Relaxers use microdoses of neuromodulators, or neurotoxins, injecting them into specific muscle nerves. They then temporarily block—or freeze—the impulses, causing the muscles to relax and fine lines & wrinkles to soften.

Are there any other side effects I should know about?

Headache, minor bruising, or swelling at the injection site are the most common, but still rare, side effects.

Can I workout after?

Plan on getting your workout in before this treatment, and avoid exercise, along with other physical activities that make you sweat, for 24 hours after treatment.
